david@cfgnb.org. I have been working with non-profit organizations my entire career in a variety of positions but mainly in staff management, fundraising, member relations and public relations. My advanced degree in Health Administration and my experience to date have provided me with a good business background that has served me well in educational, healthcare and social service agencies. But the greatest joy I receive from doing my job comes from bringing constituents who have the ability to contribute together with projects that excite them and fulfill the organization's mission. I also enjoy presenting on panels and in workshops at professional conferences on a variety of fundraising and non-profit management topics. For a number of years I was an instructor at the University of Hartford, developed curriculum for and taught several different one-day non-profit management courses including Annual Giving Programs, Working with Boards, and Special Event Planning. I've also presented on a variety of fundraising topics to audiences at A.F.P, A.H.P. and Crescendo conferences. It has also been my pleasure to be an instructor for the Capital Campaign module of the Certified Fund Raising Executives certification course. Specialties: Fundraising and organizational administration, capital campaign planning and execution, major gift solicitation, planned giving, special event planning, annual appeals, board and volunteer education and training, community foundation administration, public relations, contract negotiations in relation to fundraising programs and relationship building with related organizations like alumni associations, foundation boards and auxiliaries. Actively serves in the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, a force multiplier for active duty personnel, assisting in the protection of assets, property & citizens of the United States, & promoting the image of the U.S.Coast Guard.
