Bill Katt

Katt Training and Consulting is owned and run by its founder, Bill Katt. Before forming his own company, Bill spent 15 years working in the industry. His career began in 1993 at Clean Harbors Environmental Services, Inc. in New Britain, Connecticut, where he rose from field technician to foreman to field service coordinator. During his time there, Bill served as a confined space supervisor and responded to spills—including Level A spills—as both a field technician and as a foreman. Also at Clean Harbors, Bill transitioned into the training department where he specialized in HAZWOPER Spill Response and Hazardous Waste Management for both internal and external clients. In 1999, Bill moved to Occupational Safety Specialists Corporation (OSS) where he worked as a technical trainer and regional manager. While there, Bill served as a consultant, developed policies and procedures and conducted audits. He also developed and delivered training programs, including Control of Hazardous Energy Training (Lock Out/Tag Out), Confined Space Entry and Rescue Training, Spill Response, Hazardous Waste Management and the OSHA Outreach Training. Furthermore, while at OSS Bill began developing customized computer based training modules.
