The goal of Bridgeport Regional Business Council (BRBC) Chamber of Commerce Affiliates is to advance the BRBC mission to grow the regional economy by offering targeted legislative, networking and business development events to the community of businesses we serve. The Stratford Chamber of Commerce (SCC) works to initiate positive change for the benefit of the business community, thereby, enhancing the quality of life in Stratford through advocacy and action in the areas of economic development, education, transportation, and the environment. In partnership with local businesses, town departments, and the community, SCC works to encourage Stratford’s economic vitality. Events and initiatives SCC is actively engaged in include: Celebrate Stratford, Stratford Restaurant Week, ribbon cuttings, and annual legislative events. Additionally, SCC is involved in a variety of programs and committees including Economic Development Commission, Stratford Streetscapes, the Stratford Greenway Committee, Stratford’s Festivals, and the Perry House Foundation Board of Directors. The SCC actively supports the Perry House, believed to be one of the oldest houses in Stratford. Also a strong advocate of public education, the Stratford Chamber has partnered with the Business Education Support Team (BEST) for 25+ years, raising over $400,000 in mini-grants for Stratford Public Schools. SCC members serve as mentors and participate in job shadowing programs.
